OKOTOKS, AB (April 6, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers and the Penticton Vees are set for game two of the first round in the 2025 Rogers BCHL playoffs on Sunday night (April 6).
The Oilers and Vees had two days of rest after opening the postseason on Thursday. The Vees took game one 4-0 at their home rink of South Okanagan Events Centre.
The Green and Golds netminder, Olivier Ciarlo (Laval, QB) did everything he could to keep the Oilers in the game after making 34 of 38 stops on the night. The veteran netminder is expected to make the start again for the Oilers in game two against the Vees.

Nolan Stevenson leads the series in points with two after picking up the primary assist on the series-opening goal from Ryden Evers and the secondary assist on the final goal of game one on Simon Meier’s marker.
The Oilers will need to find a way to win in Penticton at some point in the series if they want to advance to the second round as the Vees hold home-ice advantage.
The Vees currently lead the first-round series in the BCHL Interior Conference 1-0. Puck drop for Sunday’s game is set for 5:00 p.m. MDT.
