OKOTOKS, AB (April 9, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers find themselves in a must-win game four on Wednesday night (April 9) at Viking Rentals Centre as they are down 3-0 in the 2025 Rogers BCHL Playoffs to the Penticton Vees in the first round of their best-of-seven matchup.

Olivier Ciarlo (Laval, QB) has been a bright sport for the Oilers as he has done everything to keep his team in the series by making 100 combined saves in the first three games. Ciarlo is expected to make his fourth straight start for game four.

The Oilers were held off the scoresheet for the first two games which were played in Penticton, but the Green Army gave the team a boost on Tuesday night as they finally were able to solve the Vees. Michael Kowalski (Chicago, IL) grabbed two goals in game three with Brock Souch (Edmonton, AB) picking up two assists and Oilers captain Jackson Rowland picking up the first goal for the Oilers in the series against the Vees.

Many teams talk about how hard it is to knock out a team in the playoffs, especially when a team is on the brink of elimination. Oilers will hope that plays in their favour on Wednesday night as they aim to get back in the series.

The Oilers will need to win four in a row to advance to the second round. It’s a big hill for the Oilers to climb, but their journey starts Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. MDT at Viking Rentals Centre.
